Seeking Volunteers for the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority

The Oceana County Board of Commissioners is looking for an individual to volunteer on the Oceana County Brownfield redevelopment Authority. The Board of Commissioners will make these appointments at its upcoming session on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 11:30 a.m.

Individuals interested in applying should apply online at https://oceana.mi.us/doing-business/job-opportunities. Interested parties may alternatively submit a letter of interest and resume, including home address, to the Oceana County Administrator’s office, Attention: Appointments, 100 S. State Street, Hart, Michigan 49420. Letters and resumes may also be submitted via email to countyadmin@oceana.mi.us, or via fax at (231)873-5914.

Those resumes received by Monday, September 9, 2024 will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration on September 26, 2024. The appointments will become effective October 1, 2024.

  • Brownfield Redevelopment Authority – The board of Commissioners is looking to fill a position representing County Municipalities. Each term expires September 30, 2027. The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority was established in 1999 in conformity with Act 381 of 1996, as amended. The purpose of this Authority is to facilitate the redevelopment of blighted, contaminated, or obsolete sites, consistent with the participating community’s commitment to sustainability and its vision for the future.
