Anyone may request a record search on an individual for a cost of $5 per name. The request must be presented in writing to:

If sending your request in by mail, please include a money order (we do not accept personal checks) and a self-addressed stamped envelope. You will be provided with the file numbers of any cases for the individual. If you wish to look at the files or obtain copies, you will need to come to the Circuit Court Records Office. Copy fees are stated above.

Files for the years 1800-1948 are stored at the Oceana Historical Building located at 114 S. Dryden Street, Hart, MI 49420.
