Registering or Renewing Businesses as DBAs or Partnerships
For those conducting business under an assumed name (“Doing Business As”/DBA) or partnership, the appropriate paperwork and fees must be filed.

Note: this is NOT for Corporations, Limited Liability Corporations (LLCs) or Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) which must be filed at the State level. (see below for more information).
Certificate of Assumed Name
Corporations, Limited Liability Partnerships, and Limited Liability Companies must file a Certificate of Assumed Name with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau.

If you need to dissolve your DBA or Partnership, please download and complete the Notice of Dissolution of Co-Partnership or Business Under Assumed Name form and submit it to the Oceana County Clerk’s Office.
