Press Release – Oceana County Courts Move Back to Phase I Operations
Due to the continued increase in COVID-19 cases in Oceana County the Oceana County Courthouse has taken additional steps for the safety of employees and the public we serve. The Oceana County Courthouse continues to be open to the public however, we ask the public to avoid handling their court business in person to the greatest extent possible. All filings and payments can be done electronically or mailed. We ask that the public only handle their court business in person in cases of emergency. In-person hearings are limited to emergency matters and matters where there is a statutory or constitutional right to be present that has not been waived. The safety of the community is crucial during this time. Consistent with Michigan Supreme Court directives the Oceana County Courts must take every measure possible to protect the public and court personnel while still providing creative and alternative ways to access the court.
