Notice of Public Hearing – FOR MICHIGAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDING FOR EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR PROJECTS

Oceana County will conduct a public hearing on September 23, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the County Building, 100 State Street, Hart, MI for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the use of $37,286 in Community Development Block Grant funds to be used in Oceana County for emergency home repair projects. 

Oceana County proposes to contract with NCCS Center for Nonprofit Housing to serve as a third party administrator to prepare project documents, select recipients for emergency housing repair projects, select contractors, inspection of work, pay contractors and report close out projects with Oceana County.  The third party administrator is eligible to receive a maximum of 18% of available Community Development Block Grant funds for administrative fees.

Oceana County will serve as the fiduciary for the Community Development Block Grant funds and submit required reports and supporting documentation to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Citizen views and comments on the proposed application are welcome and encouraged and may be submitted in writing through September 22, 2021 or made in person at the public hearing.
