The Board of Commissioners, led by Chairperson Robert Walker, issued this declaration to ensure all local resources are fully utilized to protect our community and infrastructure.

Impact Areas: Significant flooding is expected to affect homes, three bridges, public access sites, and campgrounds along the White River.

Infrastructure Risks: We are monitoring for potential roadway washouts, culvert failures, and drain damages across the county.

Duration: This declaration is currently set for a period of seven days (ending April 22, 2026) unless otherwise extended by the Board.

Response Status: The Oceana County Emergency Operations Plan is now active. This includes the activation of the Emergency Operations Center to coordinate disaster relief and recovery efforts.
